We need the gift of your time and talent! Volunteers are the lifeblood of Animal Rescue.
We look to volunteers to spend time with the kitties & help socialize the more scared ones, bathe & groom cats as needed, and so many other hands-on interactions with the kitties.
We also look to volunteers to help with fund-raising, marketing and administration tasks, so we are able to continue our mission to save as many kitties as possible.
Whatever your talents and interests, we have a role for you.
The first step is to complete and submit your application, and we will reach out to schedule an interview as more volunteers are needed!
volunteer requirements.
Volunteers MUST be at least 14 years of age. If under 16 years of ae, parent/guardian may be required to stay while the minor is performing volunteer services.
Volunteers MUST read, comprehend and agree to detailed policy and protocols information and follow shelter rules.
Human interaction is a requirement of all volunteer roles. Volunteers MUST always communicate professionally.
Volunteers MUST be able to understand and fulfill all responsibilities of their role independently.
New in-shelter volunteers are required to begin in an entry level role and are not allowed to take on tasks that require direct animal handling.
Most volunteer roles require volunteers to stand, and/or walk up to 3 hours, lift up to 25lbs, reach and lift, possess vision abilities including close vision and depth perception and speak to customers, employees and other volunteers.
Group volunteer oppurtunities.
Your group can support our work and the cats in our care by coordinating and participating in offsite group service projects (like making toys, collecting and donating items from our wish list or by holding a fundraiser). Please reach out to our fundraising committee for questions.
